Co-Founder of Foundation for Internet and Civic Culture, Thailand
Arthit Suriyawongkul is the Co-Founder of Foundation for Internet and Civic Culture, also known as Thai Netizen Network.
A computer scientist and anthropologist by training, Arthit started his career as a software localization engineer in “The Network is the Computer” company. Later he joined academic and industrial artificial intelligence research groups, in journalism and medical domains.
Since 2006, he is consulting and working for a number of organizations involving ICT for developments, Internet freedom, journalism, and information rights, like Mekong ICT Camp, Campaign for Popular Media Reform, Creative Commons Thailand and Opendream.
Arthit has a M.A. in Anthropology from Thammasat University, Thailand.
