Dang Hoang Giang

Dr. Dang Hoang Giang is deputy director of CECODES (Center for Community Support and Development Studies). He is a development expert, social activist and book author.
Giang’s research and policy advocacy activities aim to improve the quality of national governance, transparency, and voice of the people. Giang strives to expand the space of civil society, to encourage critical thinking and to build up a culture of debate. He holds a Master degree in computer science from Ilmenau University of Technology in Germany and a Ph.D in Development Economics from the Vienna University of Technology, Austria.
Giang is also author of two books: “Bức xúc không làm ta vô can”, “Thiện, Ác và Smartphone” (The Good, the Bad and the Smartphone) as well as a number of influential essays.
